(UX/UI + Digital Design)
Enhancing the card show experience
This app concept was designed to help TCG collectors manage their cards with confidence, whether they're at home or at a card show. The idea came from a real gap, collectors rely on a mix of spreadsheets, camera rolls, and separate apps just to track what they own, what they want, and what they're willing to trade.

(Business goals)
The goal is to give TCG collectors a single, reliable source of truth for their collection. Collections want to walk into a card show prepared. They need fast access to their trade inventory, card values, and wish list in a high-pressure environment where the right information at the right moment directly impacts the quality of their trades. A well-designed experience reduces the guesswork, builds collector confidence, and fills a gap that spreadsheets and fragmented apps simply can't.
(My role)
I led this project end to end as a solo designer, handling everything from user research through to wireframes. I conducted research to build out a user persona and journey map, mapped user flows, and designed the key screens. This gave me the opportunity to make the UX decisions independently, and to think carefully about how they support each other. This project is still a work in progress, with another phase of design to come.

(Results and Learnings)
Through research I learned that collectors don't just track cards, they have distinct mental models for organising them, from thematic collections to functional lists like wishlists and trade lists. That insight shaped nearly every design decision, including the choice to separate collections from lists in the navigation. As a concept project, the biggest takeaway was learning to make confident design decisions without a team to validate them, and trusting the research to guide the direction.
